In this session, participants will receive a sampling of authentic cultural digital materials and create model lesson plans that ask students to reflect on the construction of cultural identity and values, comparing and contrasting their own experiences and perspectives with those of others. Expressions such as "If I were you" not only lead to the use of the advanced-level function of hypothesis, but also cultivate cultural empathy in the students.
