Elizabeth Blood, Ph.D., is Professor of French in the World Languages and Cultures Department at Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts. She earned her B.A. in Anthropology from Connecticut College, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in French and Romance Literatures from Boston College. She is the author of Intrigue: langue, culture et mystère dans le monde francophone, an intermediate French textbook published by Pearson Education (3rd edition, 2011) and Je me souviens: histoire, culture et littérature, à Québec culture reader for students of French published by Georgetown University Press (1st edition, 2015). Her current research is focused on North American Francophony, including Québec and Franco-America, and foreign language pedagogy.
